I am a bit biased by going here for over 41 years and not been let down yet. Has a lovely atmosphere. Now a sports bar with tv's visible throughout the 4 rooms. Car park to rear of building also for warmer weather is a beer garden and children's play area. Good range of beers, spirits, wines and cocktails.

The Unicorn is a small but very well organised bar. I felt thoroughly welcomed there and the open mic night was excellent.I have thoroughly enjoyed my nights out at the unicorn.There is a varied menu and a good selection of drinks .

Came today 31/7/22 for a family get together.
The man serving us was so very attentive (I’m so sorry I didn’t ask his name!) We we’re initially sat outside as the weather was really good.
He even brought out a bowl of water and a treat for Buddy - our dog!!
Unfortunately, we were plagued by wasps outside! This is no reflection on The Unicorn but it made it difficult to enjoy being outside as the wasps would crawl into our drinks or fly around us 🤦🏻♀️.
Eventually we gave in and went inside to enjoy our absolutely amazing food!!!
We cannot fault it at all!! We all loved it!
So, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the venue, the staff or the food! All were fantastic!
However, as a suggestion I would recommend looking into a way to reduce the annoyance of the wasps.

Excellent outdoor meal with wonderful friendly service. I had the Unicorn burger with crunchy onion rings, steak strips, peppercorn sauce and homemade chips. The pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord went down a treat.

Lovely staff and food is well presented and of a good quality without a big expense.
There's a good selection of beers and was playing xmas / chart music in the background which set a jolly mood.
I'd come back again next time I'm in this neck of the woods.
