Fantastic!. The exterior of this little gem doesn't look like much, but inside the restaurant is modern, clean, and efficient. The food is fantastic! The flavors are complex, spices are bold, portions are large, and prices are very reasonable. While staying in a nearby hotel for 2 months I ate at Abdul's dozens of times and never got tired of their great food.
Fantastic tasty food you wont be dissapointed. I have been going to Abduls, Wakefield for several years now and tried nearly every dish on the menu and they are all wonderful. So tasty, my favourite is the Lamb Nihari the lamb is so succulant and tender. The Place is spotless and has been awarded a 5 STAR rating which i can agree with. It has an open kitchen so you can see every thing going on it has a real ambiance. The staff are so freindly and the place is always busy so you need to get your seat quick you wont be dissapointed. The packaging is first class!!
Excellence. The takeaway food here and at the sister outlet in Pontefract must be among the Best in the UK. Highly recommend.

Chanced upon this place when I drove back from Leeds to Wakefield on my 3 days stay at Wakefield.
The restaurant decor and building has a fresh and modernist look that made it stand out amongst the neighbours and caught my immediate attention.
I went to try the food at the restaurant on second day and must say that the food does not disappoint. When I got to the restaurant at about 7pm, seats in the restaurant are filled up and even crowded with standing customers awaiting takeout.
This should be a must try restaurant when in Wakefield.

Our favourite place to get Halal Indian food. Our favourite is Lamb Jalfrezi, pilau rice and their amazing naans.

Abdul's is a family friendly, reasonably priced restaurant which offers amazing food and good portion sizes. The inside is clean and comfortable and staff such as Zal are welcoming and friendly.

This isn't your typical Indian restaurant. More like fastfood meets Indian food. A McDonald's of Indian food if you will.

I have rated the service as 3 as its more self service and the seating waits are long as there isn't much seating.
Food is amazing came in 2021 drove past again by chance and had to pay a visit. Same high quality food! Prices given the economic madness going on are perfect. The idea of being served food In the pan is very cool probably helps with saving waste too. The garlic nan really impressed me the most so fresh and full of flavour.
The place most certainly could do with some new tables and chairs. They are wobbly and dirty or worn out... Would like to see wooden cutlery not plastic too. There is also enough parking too for free always a bonus.
We used Abduls as a team meal, we spent over £150 with a wide variety of meals and diets and the lady on the till double checked every single item to ensure we had everything correct. Top service and amazing food. If you have never been I highly recommend and you won't be disappointed
I love it. I just had a delicious chicken methi with garlic naan served piping hot in a pan. (The meal deals really are good value). It's a bit confusing for the uninitiated as the menu is on a screen above the servers and it changes every 30 seconds or so. So it's worth spending a moment to decide what you want before you get in the queue. It's lively, with a DIY ethic and a Michael Jackson tape on repeat. Totally recommend a visit here.
