Stopped by for lunch on New Year’s Day. Didn’t have a booking but was a table available which was good. Had small carvery. The service was good, friendly staff and calm considering was quite busy. The carvery was good although the beef was a little dry and the roast potatoes weren’t crispy. Still for £10 pp was reasonable and satisfying. The pub has a nice homely feel, comfortable seating and atmosphere. There is a nice outdoor seating area that would be good in better weather.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, so this review takes that into consideration. It is a family pub and, as such, is very good. It's not so great if you are a couple on a Sunday. As it has a Carvery people can fill their plates as high as they wish. The family next to us did this and left most of it. It was not very nice to see, but I suppose none of my business really. It was very busy and as such the service wasn't bad. We ordered by using the app, so we had a little wait for drinks. Good value, though, and I enjoyed my rump steak. Partner had pie, most of which he enjoyed, but some of the pastry was a bit soggy. Overall, I would go again, may be not on a Sunday.

Lovely staff. All 3 of us had carvery (2 medium and 1 kids), this was nice but could have been tonnes better. Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were amazing though. What could have improved it would have been roasted parsnips and broccoli as a choice. But that’s personal preference. The only reason there isn’t 5 stars is that I feel like it’s ready for re decoration. Wouldn’t stop us returning though.

Came here for our Sunday lunch. I rang ahead and booked as we were taking our dog with us. We were shown to our table and a dish of water was available for our dog, which was nice. We had a carvery, mixed grill and a chicken burger. All our food was nice. The mixed grill could have had bigger pieces of meat as these were quite small for the price. We enjoyed. We would eat here again.

We have just been to the Swan and Cygnet restaurant tonight for my mums 86th birthday meal. We were a VERY large group (Around 30). I would like to say that your staff, who served us have been nothing short of excellent....it can't be easy dealing with such a big group and we have been let down by other venues with poor service and food in the past (We do this every year). The guys who dealt with us have been attentive, polite and provided excellent service. Also the food was top notch. My son ordered a Sirloin Steak Medium Rare and it was cooked to absolute perfection. I didn't hear any complaints from my party and that's some achievement considering the size of the group. All in all, an excellent experience for which we are very grateful. Thank you.

What a great place, very busy but everything running smoothly. The Carvery was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely be visiting again

Decor thoughout warming, Wendy escorted us to our choice of table and explained everything on ordering professionally. One main from light bite menu and one carvery meal, we were notified of the menu meal nearly ready to serve so my partner could get her carvery, hence we ate together.good idea 👍,drinks reasonably priced and clean glasses 👍,toilets excellent very clean 👍.overall quality 9/10 , in my opinion too much choice but priced accordingly. PS empty the outside bin first impressions remember ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Upon entering this establishment, inside was lovely, looked fresh, and there was plenty of space to find a seat. We ordered nachos to start with, which were incredible. There is plenty to share! Service was quick. As the mains arrived, the dishes looked great. We ordered The Cowboy Burger and the Ultimate Southern Fried Burger I believe it was called. This was a tale of two halves. The cowboy Burger was succulent and tasty, and the oven chips were fresh. The Southern fried Burger, though they got it all wrong as it was over cooked and dry, and the chicken was limited within the batter. The fries were dry as well. The silver lining was the Hash Brown's that came with it were spot on. I would recommend this place as a lunch or tea but nothing fancy for a celebration.

Came here on Friday, although it seemed very busy we managed to get a table. I went for the carvery, the beef was excellent. Wendy looked after me and my fellow guests well. No complaints at all!

Very good sunday roast. A lot of veg to choose as well as you can choose food from the menu. Nice staff. The only thing was that gravy is watery. Nice location, clean place, quick service.

As always, a lovely welcome with our dogs, who are treat like Princesses. Brought over a bowl of scraps, water and given lots of fuss. Food is always lovely (we always have carvery when we come here) and service is great. Katie was servicing our section and was an absolute gem!!

Came here last week to celebrate my grandads birthday with 5 adults and 2 kids. Service was excellent and the staff were really friendly. Had a lovely bottle of wine and there was a wide array of choices from the menu to choose from. Kids menu is very extensive, and there were Activity packs for the children which they loved. We sat near the children’s area near the grabber machine which the kids loved (£1 for a guaranteed toy, my kids loved playing on it)! Great to have a nice relaxing meal out which the kids also enjoyed, as well as the adults! Will definitely be back again!

I made an unexpected visit whilst waiting for a car service. I ordered the mixed grill and couldn’t fault it. Meat cooked to my request and liking. Chicken was a little dry but that’s me been picky. Good size portions and a very reasonable price. The bar/service staff were very helpful and extremely polite. Will call again when I’m in the area.

Great service, option of ordering at the bar on via an app. Good sized portions, lots of cheese on the jacket potato and a really lovely side salad. Lovey building and facilities. Will definitely come back again
