I’m a British girl who now lives in the USA. The first thing I want when I visit the UK is fish and chips. The Codfather did not disappoint. It was the best fish and chips I’ve have in all my recent visits to the UK. The service was wonderful.

Place was recommended by daughter who lives close by.... we were visiting from Canada 🇨🇦 and I was craving proper (fish) cake with curry sauce..... it was fabulous!! Just what I/we needed. Had delivered to our hotel in Wakefield... Will be back whenever we make it over again!!

Heard a lot about this place, so took the opportunity to pop in for a couple of fish. Genuinely the best I’ve had for a long time. Proper Fish too, like I remember as a kid, - good value for the quality, thick, flakey, with crispy batter!! Place was spotless, the people chatty and friendly, so what’s not to like. Delicious, see you next time.

Quality chippy and great for the staff to be having banter with the customers. Great food and a lucky find. Cracking portion sizes. Great value for money.
Sad that they didn't sell barm cakes, only some odd looking tea cake without currants in.
