Toby Carvery

Standard Toby breakfast with decent selection and all fresh, just disappointed the people near us decided to put their phones on full volume and watch the sports news, very intrusive and nothing mentioned by staff. We ended up having to move tables of our own accord to be able to continue our conversation.

Want to make the Manager/ess aware of service tonight to pick up a Too good to go offer at 8.45, the Girl in question was behind the bar, she had purple or pink bits in her hair, she is s credit to you, helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and above all had the ability to communicate, make eye contact and listen to any concerns although I had none as she had ensured I knew the process. This girl needs to be used as an example to all your Staff as the way to look after Customers. Next time I'm in I'll be buying her a pint!

I recently had a meal with family at Toby Carvery and it was great! The food tasted great and the service was incredible. Our server, Elizabeth, was very welcoming and was able to get our orders to us quickly and with a smile on her face. I would strongly recommend eating at Toby Carvery especially as it is such a cheap and cheerful meal that you can’t beat.

Despite this being one of the busiest days of the year...Mothers Day... the staff were very attentive and we were seated pretty promptly after getting pre lunch drinks at the bar. All staff we interacted with were courteous and happy to be providing service even though there were large numbers of customers having meals There was a great atmosphere and food was of a very high standard and reasonably priced. We had a lovely day and have no hesitation in recommending Wakefield Toby Carvery..... we will be returning again soon.

Lovely from the minute you walk in the staff are attentive and so friendly nothing is too much they came and checked the tables and made sure everyone was happy. If food wasn't on then they would go and ask for top up of veg gravy etc. The manager obviously has a good working environment the staff are so happy especially Chyna and Charlotte they really are so down to earth and making sure everyone in our family is looked after. 5 star for all of them!!!

We came tonight for a Friday night carvery to avoid cooking. Before eating there was a medical emergency in the carvery area. The staff were brilliant, all very responsive, looked after the customer with care and respect and communicated to all customers well to keep them informed why they couldn't be served. Once ensuring the customer was ok, safe and able to move the them to a safe place the carvery was reopened. We've only been to this Toby a couple of times but the staff are so friendly, smiley and happy which is lovely to see and the food is delicious. We will definitely be back

Everything was absolutely excellent. From the welcome at the door, being taken to our table. Lovely attentive table staff. To a fantastic Carvery which had everything your heart could desire. All fresh and not dried out under the warming lights. Again the servers were courteous and lovely. Then after enjoying a 5* Carvery came the piece de resistance the Desert. I had the profiteroles a great choice, it was truly Scrumptious. So far 10/10. The only negative was due to timing and a technical error with the payment terminals. You had to pay at the bar till. Which was manned by one lovely lady / manager. Hence it took 15 minutes to pay the bill. Overall still 10/10 for a wonderful meal and service. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
