It is such a lovely amazing place to eat, but sadly, Marstons are closing this down, which is totally unacceptable, staff have worked there heart and soul into this company, they didn't even know the company was closing in down they only read this online, totally unacceptable the management and staff should have been told. Slowly, every bit of history of the area is going. it's so sad to see. What is going to be left for future generations is nothing as it's all going.

The chicken pie came in a good sized dish but when you lift the pastry lid the there was hardly any filling just a few pieces of chicken at the bottom very poor portion for 17 pound one spoonfuls of mash and one carrot

We are 6 sisters who meet up every few weeks.The only place we will go is Blacksmiths Wakefield,although we all live at the other end of Huddersfield.Three of us have some sort of disability but we know that when we go we dont have to worry we always get looked after.The Wednesday staff are absolutely amazing .
