Great to have a local fish shop with convenient opening hours and that opens on a Sunday! Serves generous portions of fresh, non greasy fish and chips. Its the first time in a long time I've had fish n chips that haven't made my kitchen smell greasy/fishy! Lovely friendly staff.

There are many a fishshop and working in the industry myself for over 20 years i know good quality fishshops are few and far between. And to say these Lads have just started up I must say the fish and chips we had were TOP QUALITY and we will definitely be returning! I highly recommend this fishshop, try and you wont be dissapointed! Great friendly service 5*

Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Went previous to the new owners and it was poor but the chips yesterday were delicious, the right amount of crunch and the fish delightful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or go again. Ten thumbs up. Update Just been again and it was just as nice. I don't know the secret of their chips but they're delicious.

A lovely quaint shop with such big personality from start to finish I was impressed the welcoming bunting outside to the lovley smile waiting when we stepped inside ! The chips hot tasty and fluffy and the fish just perfect and crispy and delicious but the real star of the show the tartar sauce just divine 😋 recommend highly and will return xx

I hadn't had fish n chips for about a year, after my local put me off. Kirkhamgate was recommended to me, the chips were lovely soft and fluffy, and the fish was nicely cooked with light crispy batter. The cost was a little more than I used to pay but it was worth it.

I make a round trip of approx. 8 miles to get the best fish and chips I have tasted for years. There are at least 10 fish and chip shops closer to me all of them losing out to Kirkhamgate Fisheries. Highly recommended - and the chat ain't bad either. Keep up the good work Josh and Co.

Just the best fish & chips for miles around. Fish is always fresh & usually cooked to order in minutes. Good potions, super staff and service. I use it regularly, well recommended.

I decided to try this place out. Overall I found the fish and chips were very nice, but a bit on the expensive side. The prices are nearly as much as The Whetherby Whaler (take away) which surprised me as The Whaler is a much bigger establishment and has larger premises to pay for. This place is just a little shack out of town. The portion size was very good and apart from been a tad oily, I really enjoyed them. The owner seemed friendly and even took phone orders for people to collect later. Covid Restrictions seem a bit unorganised though and there didn't seem to be any instructions of how many people were allowed in the same shop at once. I think there should have been a 1 person max rule inside given how small it is.
