Horse And Jockey - Wakefield - Photo album

Staff were very attentive, they couldn’t do enough for you, the chef came and had a natter to us and to make sure everything was okay. Food is reasonably priced and decent portions too, we had the mixed chicken tikka on a bed of salad starter with mint yogurt sauce and it was beautiful, for the main
Nice local pub, with live music on Saturday nights. Great atmosphere, good prices and beers, and right next to the cricket ground if you want to spend a pleasant afternoon in the sun
Went Friday night.lovely seating area outside. There was a turn on a male singer. The bar staff were friendly and beers good.
Went with some friends but I myself don't drink and don't like sport. This is a Sky Sport Pub. The lady behind the bar was very friendly.
Traditional pub. A warm welcome on a cold wet evening. Beer a good price. £3 for a J W Lees. Dog made welcome.
Great pub, with incredible staff and owners.
Nice Lille pub with a stunning pint of Madri! This venue is especially good in the summer with its large seating area out the back but watch out for cricket balls!
Great drop in pub for a pint and a pack o crisps after traversing canal towpaths
Played here on Sunday with my band Pac Band. This pub has a great outdoor patio area with a stage area for performing. The pub has some great bargains on drinks and food. Great staff and great audience 👏 👍
Excellent food, great value, fab staff...thank touched Mark
We really enjoyed this visit. We were catching up with a friend who had been before and recommended it. It consists of two different complementary businesses - the bar and the restaurant. The drinks are reasonably priced. The food is advertised as "traditional" and is excellent with vegetarian opti
Best fish n chips ive ever had, sat outside watching cricket
It seems the pub and restaurant are two different businesses. You can only pay by cash at the pub part but the restaurant accepts cards. The building is fairly small but is well laid out. It is homely rather than posh. Very clean. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. The meals are all fresh
Nice, inviting very friendly and a good selection of visiting beers. Terrace was full but needed cleaning and tidying up. Prices moderate. Because of the terrace 4 stars not 5
We called in for a quick lunch. Not the biggest pub. We asked about lunch, despite the dining room been empty we were asked if we had booked and to wait. Needless to say we got a seat. Food was nice, piping hot, though we found menu limited and specials pricey. Waiting staff excellent. ! We will be
Really Impressed the food is faultless. Service is spot on. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. Take pics of the menu boards in the bar area as there is only a starter menu at the table. Drinks you get from the bar area not the restaurant. Excellent value for money.
One of the best meals I have had in a long time. I will give this restaurant full marks. Friendly staff top quality food full of flavour well presented. Not far from the canal for boaters. Just off the main road from Huddersfield to Wakefield. Just stop in and you will get a good and filling meal at
Really lovely good wholesome food, staff are friendly and approachable. Chef Micheal came out of kitchen to get direct feedback from each customer. I felt really valued. We have booked again for coming Sunday!!!
