The College has been our local on and off for over 25 years. Now we're living back in the area it's nice to see it's in good hands with the current owners. They're both really friendly and the atmosphere is great. There's a recently extended outdoor covered decked area and there's a few different nights on throughout the month.

The owners have really tried to make the best of this pub, and it shows. Foot rests for the high seats would be amazing so annoying when you just have to dangle! Staff are lovely.. I recommend the quizz on Sundays it's a good laugh.

Despite the fact that I am not English, I was welcomed pretty nice within this pub and treated very decent and on point. Beer is both cheap and great, the food is amazing and pretty cheap, you got pool and other games you can play, clean, not too loud, you can watch some TV or have a chat with friends. I like it 10/10. They even ordered me a cab when I needed to go.

Nice pub. Dated but nice.Food was very good. Barman and chef very accommodating as they started serving well before the 1 o'clock start time as we needed to get back. So very helpful staff. Not 5 star. But good all the same

We really love this wee pub when we are home in Wakefield. It's a combination of atmosphere, local people and the landlord who is both friendly and welcoming. Today we tried for the first time the Sunday roast that far exceeded our expectations. Plentiful, tasty and more than reasonable it will definitely be our Sunday dinner of choice when we are home.
