The owners have really tried to make the best of this pub, and it shows. Foot rests for the high seats would be amazing so annoying when you just have to dangle! Staff are lovely.. I recommend the quizz on Sundays it's a good laugh.
Nice pub. Dated but nice.Food was very good. Barman and chef very accommodating as they started serving well before the 1 o'clock start time as we needed to get back. So very helpful staff. Not 5 star. But good all the same

I need to start by saying the food is absolutely beautiful. Im not even joking!! It is home cooked and the chef needs to be praised for his talent. The refurbishments are fantastic, it is such a pleasant environment, the regulars are all nice friendly people. Would do better if they started serving food again, which is apparently being worked out. Highly recommended.

Massive improvement up on its previous state. It was tired and worn. Now it's fresh clean and modern - long overdue. Use to avoid it which was a shame living local but will now use it on a regular basis. Look forward to trying the food.
Really great pub... looks amazing after its refit...been here a few times for evening meal... never been disappointed great food at great price... excellent service, great team working here.. the sunday dinner is also delicious, well worth a visit and even during these difficult times as they adhere
