Blue Marlin

Been going here for so many years now (well since it first opened to the public) and I cannot complain at all, not just the quality food they prepare but the exceptional service they provide, building a conversation such as ‘how you doing?’ Or ‘how has your day/week been?’. It’s traditional like the old times and you don’t get that nowadays in most fish and chip shops. Don’t go to fish and chip shops often, but I for sure will be back here next time and it’s local to me which is a bonus, to me the best fish and chips in Wakefield!

Doing some work in the area and fancied a chippy lunch on payday so decided to come here to try it out. Couldn’t ask for a better service - was greeted by a friendly server on the way in and asked how my day was and if I had any plans for the weekend while they prepared my order. For some reason this is less common nowadays so it’s really nice to have this high quality service again. The food was really great too and the prices were reasonable considering everything was made fresh. 10/10 couldn’t be better.

Love this Chippy quality fish and chips & the curry sauce is definitely a great shout. Many chip shops these days serve you ‘half a fish’ per se. But here Blue Marlin you’re getting a great fresh tasting fish wrapped in tastes batter. Can not even think of a genuine negative to write about - 100% great fish and chips experience 100% give them a go!!

We tried Blue Marlin tonight because we didn't fancy cooking. Delivery was quick, and the food was hot. The lady who delivered was very polite and cheerful, we really enjoyed the food, Tony had large fish chips and a scallop he was pleased. I had fish & chips, and I struggled to eat it all. We will definitely be ordering from here again. I highly recommend this fish & chip shop.
