Had lunch here today and was lovely. I had the hot beef sandwich with roast potatoes and gravy and hubby had the gammon with both egg and pineapple, both were delicious, staff were very friendly as was the landlord. The new decor looks really nice. Can't wait to return.
This was our first visit. There was a warm welcome from friendly staff. The menu had a really good choice with many items available in smaller portions. Quick service and the food was very good. We will definitely return.

On Saturday the weather was pretty poor so we decided to pop down to the Fergie for a belated birthday lunch.
It’s located in the centre of Walkington on the main road so easy access for anyone travelling and there’s ample car parking space.
The food was absolutely delicious with very generous portions and beautifully presented.
The staff were lovely and attentive without being intrusive.
A meal for 4 adults with drinks, 4 main courses of which 2 were light bites, 4 desserts and 4 coffees came to just over £80 which I thought represented good value.
No photos as we were too busy eating the delicious food!
Highly recommend the chocolate brownie with chocolate and blood orange ice cream.
Will definitely be returning to check out some of the other tasty options!
Fantastic food and restaurant. We got a friendly welcome as soon as we walked in. The owner was working on the bar and he was so friendly working hard and did a great job to make us feel welcome. The food was fantastic my wife had a Sunday dinner which she loved and my burger was brilliant. We will be back soon
The food was well presented on the plate tasted good and was reasonably priced, there were 14 of us in the party and we were all within a couple of minutes of each other. We all said we would go there again. Definitely worth a visit ☺
What a lovely place this is, and by far it’s best version over the years. The staff are so lovely and friendly and the food is delicious at great prices. Special thanks to the chap who went way above and beyond for my mum - you’ll know who you are! Thanks again and it’s our go to when visiting the area.
Glad we booked in advance for tea last night as it was busy! Had a really lovely meal & good service. Definitely will return.
Only went for a family meal mid-week. Service and food very good, my only gripe was my dessert came out on a greasy dirty plate, but I didn't complain, for a change, it was microwaved sticky toffee pudding, and they had run out of custard 🤔 so had to have cream.
Only went for a meal with our friends. The food was lovely. All the staff was really friendly and helpful. Definitely will be going back again

Another family meal here- I picked the Moving Mountains Vegan Dog this time, which was decent. The waiting time for food tends to be pretty quick.

While home for my birthday, I came here for a meal with family. I ordered the Moving Mountains Cheeseburger- a tasty and delicious vegan option. I could barely tell the patty was meatless. Service was fine.
