We recently had Fish and Chips at Rick Steins chippy in Padstow I can honestly say that the Ocean Wave beats it in every way. Bigger fish more tasty, better batter, better chips and over £10 cheaper for two.

My husband and I used to go to Ocean Wave before lockdown and the fish and chips are excellent. As others have said, the fish are large so we cut one in half. With the large quantity of chips (I can't believe the reviewer who said that the portion of chips was stingy!) one serves both of us - and we are quite hearty eaters!! Since lockdown we have used their delivery service which is fantastic. Both the guys that bring the food are lovely, friendly fellas and get it to us piping hot. A couple of times the fish was a little dry but I can honestly say that this is a rarity out of probably over 100 orders. Keep up the good work!

Great chippy. Freshly prepared food, not pre processed. Excellent value for money (containers well packed with the meats not padded out with onions etc.) The chips are without doubt the best I've tasted from any of the other chippy's on the Wirral! (And I've tried most of them.) Pleasant friendly staff and quick deliveries. My no.1 go to chippy.
