I celebrated my birthday at The Red Lion on Sunday, 17 of us with lots of lively children. Cracking Sunday lunch. We were looked after very well by all the staff, all the children received their food first, which is rare in my experience. Four different Sunday roasts with all the trimmings to choose from and fantastic desserts.
I cannot recommend this pub highly enough for its family friendly atmosphere and staff, attention to detail and garden and gin menu! We will be back soon! Thank you �
Our local pub and it's a fab place for a meal and/or a drink. Booked a table for Friday night meal. Had the surf and turf. Lovely tender steak! Couldn't fault it, great food, great service, friendly, good atmosphere and I love all the fairy lights!!

Lovely Pub Even Though A Seagull Was Watching Me Eat Outside
Very nice pub which does delicious pizza! There’s a lovely rustic feel in the pub with great beams exposed overhead (sometimes not much overhead! Watch out if you’re tall!).
This is our go to for a work team pub lunch as the meals are great, they accommodate large tables and the service is quick and friendly! Would recommend to anyone looking for a lunchtime bite! They also do a great deal on pizza (Tues-Fri I believe).
Our party spent about 3 hrs here recently. Firstly, the service was first class, and the food arrived promptly. Our meals were fine: I had a pizza, the others had fish and chips. Their sticky toffee pudding (3) and apple crumble (1) looked delicious ( I had nothing). There was a good selection of ales at reasonable prices. The tab was not too bad. I sympathise with the hospitality industry- rising energy costs, raw materials- the list goes on. REMEMBER, although the website states 'Dog friendly,' this does NOT apply to the restaurant. I would visit here again.
