Absolutely tip top, served by fantastic and super friendly ladies, the Jumbo Cod is Huge so it's for the larger appetites for sure. Well worth a visit if you are in the area 👍🏻
I ordered the regular size cod and chips which is £4.95 and a tub of spicy curry sauce. The batter was nice and crispy and a bit greasy underneath, what you sort of expect though. The cod was fresh and flakey but slightly thin. Next time I’ll ask for the jumbo size. The chips were cut thin. I’ve never had chippy chips as thin as that before but I liked the way they were cooked. The spicy curry sauce was thick and very, very nice with a decent kick. I’ll definitely be back again. Edit: I got the jumbo size and it was huge. You will have to travel far to find a better fish and chips in my opinion. Very nice.

I regularly drive from Birmingham to Burnley for work and every time I always take a detour through Bury to stop at this place for a rag pudding, chips and gravy. The staff are lovely and the food is top quality. Honestly you can't beat it 👍
Friendly Staff, Great Food and Reasonably Priced. I work locally, But sometimes on a day off I'll come from Rochdale when I want a chippy. Mini Fish Chips & Peas is my Usual. and the Ginormous Pea Fritter is so good

I have been going to this chippy for quite a while now and I have to say I love it the portions are bang on and the fish is always freshly cooked and really nice. And they always have offers on, so they are good value for money. The only criticism I have is they shut a bit to early. they do really good kids meals and my kids love the Also 'chip man' outside the shop.
Staff are really nice , and the food (especially the fish) is lovely, definitely recommend 👌 👍
Wow, what a great chippy. Lovely service with pleasant smiley staff. Chose fish & chip meal deal for 2 which consisted of generous sized fish, sufficient portion of chunky chips, chose spicy curry, got choice of canned drinks or bottled water & 2 large buttered muffins all for £13.00 and boy did they taste absolutely fab. They were lovely and hot, so welcome after a day of travelling to get back to Bury.
Will definitely continue to call in this inexpensive chippy more often to try other food on offer.
