My friend and me have been there a few times. We have always had good service from the friendly staff. We have never had any problems or reason to complain. Try the breakfast - all fresh ingredients and very tasty. We will definitely go back.

This is a great traditional pub right in the centre of Walsall. When we visited the pub it was really nicely decorated ready for Christmas. Staff were friendly in this nice cozy pub. Decent menu with decent prices. Definitely going to visit again.

Have lived in Walsall all me days and never been to this pub in town. And I've missed out hugely! One of only a handful of original looking buildings left in the town centre and its a credit to the owners for keeping it looking as good as it is. They definitely have the best Christmas decorations / window display in Walsall town. Putting a lot of the " designer " / larger well known shops to shame! A nice warm friendly welcome on arrival, but I do think the music was just slightly high ( probably as I was sat near the speaker ) The pub looked nicely presented and clean and tidy and the amazing Christmas decorations throughout are a must see if your in Walsall over Christmas. The chap behind the counter was Polite, attentive and the food ( I had the Cajun chicken with jacket potato ) was lovely and well seasoned and the portion size spot on. They have an upstairs seating area up a spiral staircase but was closed off today ( I'll have to go back I think ) The toilets are round the back with an outdoor seated are for smokers It's great to see one of Walsall oldest pubs still survive amongst the all the same looking / charmless sort of pubs / eateries we get these days. So if your in town and want a place to eat that has ambience, a warm welcome, full of history and delicious food pop in you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely fantastic food, big portions and taste is home made. Prices are good! Very friendly and good atmosphere, love the layout with the spiral staircases and upstairs. One of the very few traditional buildings and pubs left👍

Was up from London visiting my aunt in hospital and had to grab something to eat before heading to see her. Saw pride flags and a sign for food and thought 'this one should do'. And it more than did. The chicken sandwich was great, chips were amazing, guy behind the bar was just lovely and the music was brilliant. Obvs somber crowd because it was Wednesday lunchtime, but I imagine it's super fun in the evenings. Ooh! And they have rainbow gnomes! Really improved my spirits ahead of an unfun visit to my very poorly auntie.

We went yesterday for my husband's birthday, met up with friends. It was a lot busier than usual, but it deserves to be busy. Our food was lovely, as usual, and the staff as friendly as ever. I have even been in on my own of a lunch time and felt totally relaxed. As a 64 year old woman it can be a bit daunting going in a pub on your own, but not here. Regulars are as friendly as the staff. Hope maybe in the summer I might go of a night with my friend as it looks good fun. Keep doing what you're doing, a great venue

Brilliant little pub that's beautifully decorated all year round. Karaoke is an acquired taste and the beers are a generic for the black country but it's a well kept pub that always pulls a good pint.
