Lovely pub with a great choice of food although quite a few items were not available that evening. Our drinks order was taken within good time but then we waited such a long time for them we were definitely more than ready to order food and gave our order to him. Our waitress was wonderful and really pleasant but had a lot of tables to serve so not as attentive as expected. I have to say the lamb shank was delicious, so very tender and the gravy and mash perfect...would visit again just for this meal! Husband and son's steaks were sightly overdone to how they wanted them so consider that if you order steaks. Puddings were delicious but again not everything on menu available even though we booked an early table. All the food was well presented. Overall, an enjoyable evening meal.
The first time we have been back here in 20 years having previously been regular customers. Service was very friendly by everyone, attentive but not pushy. Keenan was really friendly and even got the steak cooked exactly the way I asked for it (very well done!). Thank you for a lovely evening. Will definitely come again. Gary and Jaime
Service not good very slow and it was not that busy. Had Gammon it was bit salty, positive Chips lovely but what was weird had 4 tomatoes put on plate but not grilled they need to be grilled. Food over priced for how it came. Given 4 has Friend where happy with there meals.
Delicious food, well cooked and served. Helpful and friendly staff. Relaxed and cozy atmosphere.
The restaurant was pretty full and we had to wait around 15 minutes until our scheduled table was free for us to be seated.
The waitresses attended to us quickly but the drinks took a while to arrive.
The food was served with great presentation and in good quantity, however the rice was completely unsalted and the roast chicken was not very tasty either.
The vegetables were well prepared and tasty.
The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
We dropped in on the off chance and they found us a table. So glad they did, the food was delicious. We had the pate starter, scampi and chicken and chorizo flat bread. The lady who served us was so lovely but I can't remember her name, Julie or Tracey (sorry)
We were greeted at the door and sat down, where we were introduced to vie our server for the evening. She was extremely polite and courteous making sure we had everything we needed, explained some items we were unsure of on the menu. The food came in good time and tasted amazing everything was cooked to perfection. I had a mixed grill, my mum had chicken and chorizo kebab and my brother had hunters chicken. The deserts were just as good, well presented and tasted beautiful. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely be returning in the near future.
Great service would return only thing let it down was the chicken was very dry , this was quickly rectified by the very helpful staff
We booked a bigger table than needed, moved us easily and all staff were very friendly. Great service, food was brought out quickly and the standard of food was excellent. We were quite a loud lot celebrating but there was no complaints and staff laughed with us.
Excellent night all round, will be returning
Great pub and eating house. Very nicely decked out inside. Great food. We had lunch and the sharing plate on the menu. It has a great garden and a small covered area for eating. Very chilled.
