Big thumbs up for Barney's pie and mash shop on Garnett Way. Great service and great food. Wasn't brave enough to try the jellied eels. Not brave, just can't stand them! Oh and if you like chilli vinegar, look for the bottle with loads of chillies in. It's amazing. Thank you. :)

Visited Barney’s Pie and Mash today and enjoyed a wholesome meal! IT WAS YUMMY!!! I enjoyed every bit of it!!!
Their pies was delightful and their mash, was nice and creamy, with a little bit of texture. The liquor added, so much depth of flavour to the meal.
I highly recommend this establishment and will be a regular on Saturdays!!!

A little gem of a place serving up a slice of London from days gone by! Top quality traditional food personally prepared by Tom (Barney) himself. Excellent value, nipping clean, what’s not to like!
Delicious traditional pie & mash. Definitely worth the visit and possible trek from other parts of London, especially if you’re looking for an old school pie shop.
Make sure you get dessert too! The apple was delightful and tasted like home.

Living in Germany it's not easy getting a P&M as you can imagine.
So whenever we're over it's always a must to get one!
It was Barney's that popped up on google maps, and the 4.9 rewiew rating was why we decided to go.
Parking is difficult, but Barney -who was really friendly-, gave us a tip on where to park.
Compared to many P&M Shops Barney's is quite small and is decked out with more conventional tables and chairs.
Three kinds of vinegar including a very spicy chilly vinegar🌶 🌶, my favorite, salt and pepper were on every table, and Barney's unusually has a WC that was exceptionally clean...
Barney is chatty and enthusiasticly explained to us why he didn't have the classic tables and pews seating...but you'll have to ask him that question yourselves.

This is the first time I came here and the experience was amazing, my mate told me about this place and I had to see it with my own eyes! Everything is prepared in house fresh and tasty food. We traveled all the way from Romania to see this place! Amazing thank you.
I've been meaning to come here for quite a while but never seem to be up that side of Walthamstow on a weekday.
Pie and mash is such a simple meal that there's no room to hide in its ingredients or preparation. The pie was full of meat with a thick gravy and deliciously flaky pastry, and the mash living up to its important supporting role.
Oddly, the liquor was the real standout for me - many I've had have been watery and overwhelm you with parsley, but not here. I'd probably have licked the plate if nobody was watching.
Top that off with a lovely chat with the owner and you've got yourself the perfect pie & mash shop.

It is a great traditional Pie n Mash shop. Also, it is local to me. It is my number 1 stop when I want to eat out. After pie n mash you can have dessert. I have taken a picture of my sumptuous apple pie and custard. It was delicious. You can get take out, you can eat in and you are always greeted with a smile and a bit of banter. I recommend this place to all.
