The food is amazing & very tasty 😋 we had dinner here last night while on a little holiday break. I'm from the North London area, which is a Greek/Turkish/Cypriot area, so I know exactly what the food should look like & taste. Put it this way, I would definitely eat here all the time if I lived closer. Even some of the places in (Green Lanes Haringey) aren't as good as this place. (Walton on the Naze) is very lucky to have such an amazing place on its doorstep. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of the food when it was first served as we were so hungry & didn't think until we were 10 minutes into eating. Lol. We were recommended this place by a friend and were so happy that the food was as good as what the others mentioned on the reviews. It was four of us and we all enjoyed what we had. My lamb casserole was a bit salty but when I mentioned, they immediately cooked a new batch for me which was so appreciated. The lamb was tender, delicious and one of the best. The portions were generous as well. Well done to Team Lara, you obviously care about your customers and go above and beyond. We will definitely back :)

Our party of three enjoyed a delicious evening meal here and were impressed with every part of it: yummy food plus free starter, delicious hot bread, friendly service, nice atmosphere. We shared the mixed hot and cold mezes plus a couple of bottles of wine (I know, I know) and had a lovely time. Sorry about the photos - couldn't resist starting!

Absolutely lovely place with tasty food (big portions, too) and very attentive stuff. As a coeliac, I'm always rather anxious about the safety of my eating out. In 'The Lara', I was met with understanding and care. Lovely waitress (sorry I didn't get the name) explained which items from the menu I could have and made necessary adjustments for me. Highly recommended.
