The White Horse

We visited The White Horse on the 31st October for the amazing Halloween party. The whole team made such an effort with the decorations, the games the food boxes for the kids and all for free! What an amazing turn out they had. So gutted we didn't get to stay for dinner as we had to leave due to a tired toddler but we will be in for dinner soon. We do live 45 mins away but the food is so good we will travel jyst to get some. Well done guys brilliant 👏 EDIT * Went to eat today 13-11 never dissapointed. Generous portions, lovely homemade greek dishes, the most amazing homemade chips and tomato rice. Amazing 👏

A big thank you to Sue and her team for making our wedding anniversary day special. From start to finish your hospitality was a very relaxed and homely atmosphere. The food was amazing and we all left full and content. Will definitely return now we have found this little gem in Wareside. Thanks again for making us all feel welcome.

AMAZING! From the booking process to goodbye we couldn’t fault a thing! Sue helped us book and plan for 22 guests for a double celebration of a Pearl and Ruby wedding anniversary, very prompt on responding. On arrival Sue and her team had gone the extra mile and decorated our seating area with banners and balloons for the occasion and made personalised entry signs acknowledging the special occasion which was such a kind touch! The service throughout was excellent, we opted for the meze as we was a large party and the food just kept coming and was to die for! Every single dish that was delivered was amazing, we felt like we was in Cyprus, and all the food was homemade and fresh. Will definitely be returning , staff are super friendly, relaxed atmosphere and play area for the kids was a bonus! Until next time Sue, thank you! X

I was recently in a wedding and the reception was held on the grounds of the pub. Sue and her team were absolutely amazing. They helped organise the marque and the food (Greek bbq) was delicious. The new cocktails on the menu are a lovely treat too. I can’t wait to go back one evening for dinner. Thanks for all your help Sue and everyone at The White Horse.

I am not sure whether to post this or keep it to myself. The White Horse is a right gem tucked away in the middle of Hertfordshire. I found the pub to be very clean - Always a good start. They are still promoting and have Covid secure measures in place. Thank You 👍 The staff are very friendly and attentive. Sue is really lovely. My family and myself were warmly welcomed and we felt part of the family throughout. It was the personal attention received - Nothing was ever a problem, great eye for just the little details and I felt I was at home. Not, "here's your drink, that will be £". Very Greek welcome & warmth! The food. The food was absolutely amazing. It is not just pub grub. It is not just a kebab thrown on a plate with a silly little bit of garnish on the side. It is not just a BBQ. It is not something just dressed up. Everything is very fresh. You can tell it is prepared properly due to wonderful flavours. It is cooked to perfection. It is proper restaurant quality. A proper Greek meal. It is the food that makes it a real gem. I Absolutely Love This Place.

I have not been here for a very long time! So I was pleasantly surprised, that the garden has had some care and attention and looks great! It's a good example of how Britain pub garden should be! A space for children and good tables that do not wobble. The food is a Greek menu which is a bit pricey for the quality, but it is good. At the moment it is table service and it's advised you ring ahead to get a table, but not always necessary. The toilets are inside which works one in one out. With a vacant/ Engaged sign! Beautiful location surrounded by fields. We will be back! 👍😊
