The Grill On The Square

The food is excellent but not pretentious and the standards don’t fluctuate at all ( Iv been going for years) They also make an excellent old fashioned if you’re partial to such things. The place has never disappointed me which is rare considering as i can be a grump at the best of time and Im used to good food.

Booked here blind really, not from Warrington. Thank goodness we did. One of the best meals out for a very long time. The staff and service were amazing. A lovely greeting as soon as you walked in. Staff were very attentive with a good sense of humour. Starters were steak tartare, which was gorgeous, and Tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid. Batter was light, and the prawns and squid lovely and soft. Mains were meat hanging kebab with garlic oil to pour over and half lobster, both really, really tasty. We will definitely be returning. Can't recommend highly enough.

Absolutely banging prime cheeseburger! One of the best tasting beef patties I've ever had. Thick and juicy with superb flavour. You won't find a better one in Warrington. Really high quality meat. The bun was nice and the sauce was tasty too but didn't need quite so much of it. I like a messy burger but it was slipping out of my hands. The triple cooked chips were fluffy and crispy and just about the right size portion considering I had the rib starter on the side too! They were delicious as well, nicely seasoned and the right amount of sauce on them. I was disappointed that the pulled pork burger addition wasn't available but I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The service was great too, really pleasant staff. My Dad enjoyed the roast and my Mum really liked the teriyaki fish kebab. Closer to a fine dining place but not overpriced for the quality of the food and service.

Came across this lovely restaurant on the way to Parr Hall with my daughter and was greeted by such lovely staff who told us we sit anywhere near the bar for drinks but also can eat there too. Ordered 2 cocktails for £12 on selected cocktails but others to choose from further down the menu. We decided to order the mixed grill hanging kebab which came with fries and a side order of garlic mushrooms. Staff very polite and couldn't do enough for you. We ordered another 2 cocktails from the cocktail list. Wow what a lovely place to go to. Will definitely visit again. And staff are a credit to this restaurant as they are so friendly and polite. Thank you.

I visited the Grill on the Square while passing through the area. We had to change our reservation and the team were very accommodating with this. We ordered fillet steaks and although we were waiting for them for a while, we were very impressed when they arrived. They were cooked beautifully and the sauces complemented the dinners well and the staff did their best to help when asked about wine pairings. The starters were pleasant too, although not quite as enjoyable as the steaks. The drinks prices seemed on the expensive side, but the food prices seemed very reasonable.

I just wanted to say how amazing the service and food we had last night was. My partner and I came in hoping we could get a table for my birthday and even though we hadn’t booked, your staff were extremely accommodating and were able to get us a table. We were then look after by an amazing waitress who was not only polite and friendly, but was extremely professional and she is definitely a credit to your restaurant. As for the food!!!! Wow what can I say!!!! Words simply cannot describe how impressed we were, and we will definitely be coming back in the near future. Please pass my compliments and thanks onto all staff concerned in making my birthday meal amazing.
