Modina Takeaway

Worst Indian in Warrington placed our order and it arrived 2 hours late when it came they got the order wrong so we phoned them up and asked could they send out the right order and they said they would, this did not happen. The prawn starter was freezing cold and the meat was tough we were assured that it would be fresh but it clearly wasn't. We looked up this restaurant afterwards and it has an abismal 2 star hygiene rating stay away from this place there are many better ones to go to I wouldn't even give it to my dog.

Absolute joke of a place. Over 40 minutes for a simple order of 4 side dishes. When calling 1 hour later they say it will be 10-15 minutes, chase this 30 minutes later and they say the driver has set off so will be 10-15 minutes. The server on the phone was rude and dismissive and not at all apologetic of a late order. Delivery driver was clearly embarrassed at the shambolic service. Will never go back again.

Today was takeaway night and after a short debate with the family, we settled on ordering an Indian. Looking through Just Eat, we happened across Royal Spice in Warrington as a local takeaway company. Excitedly we placed our order and were happy to receive a delivery timescale of 45 minutes! Excellent! We waited 30 minutes in anticipation and nothing arrived but hope had not left. 45 minutes came and went and still no food... We're reasonable people, when delays happen it can be many things so we waited... And waited... An hour and a half later and nothing! We call up the restaurant and ask for an update and the food is out for delivery! Success! Should be here shortly as the restaurant is 5 minutes away! Now, this driver must have taken a detour through Birmingham because now 2 hours after the original order he is as elusive as the Loch Ness Monster! After a final call to the restaurant, we cancel our order in dismay and are forced to drive to KFC. You'd think our tale ends there, but, no! Upon his return from Narnia, our delivery driver arrives at the door! At this point, we've arranged alternative food and are slightly unhappy and tell the driver we have ordered from elsewhere. "What should I do with this food" is the retort I receive. "I don't know, bin it? Take it back? Doesn't bother me" was my response... As he left, he left some parting words that he would not deliver to us in future. Well... No surprise, I returned the favour informing him that it was not a problem as there is no chance we'd order again in the future. So, does this restaurant do delivery orders? My answer: No... No it does not!

Absolutely abismol service. I ordered a mixed chicken tikka main which could take litterally 20 mins first of all, it took 1 hour and a half to arrive and The man who deliverd lastnight delivered to the wrong address so I didn’t even recive the food. In which he said I’m sorry we will give you a refund or a free takaway tonight so I’ve just rang him to do this and he’s bacically said he’s too busy to do it. Extremely disappointed. No one should treat costumers like this. I am a new customer also so I will not be recommending to anyone. I’ve now tried placing my order back on the just eat and that have refused it. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Food arrived worryingly quickly. Delivering to penketh is at least a 10 minute drive. Food arrived in under 20 mins which leads me to assume chef mike was on the line. The sauce of the bhuna tasted great, however the chicken tikka was disgusting. Microwaved then lobbed in the sauce last minute. Chicken really was so bad I can’t comprehend how they got that gelatinous texture to it other than assuming microwaving pre cooked chicken. Awful.
