This is my go to place when I go to The Galleries. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and service is quick. The staff are very efficient and friendly. I have never yet been disappointed when I've been there. Lunchtime is very busy which tells you how good Gillies is.

Excellent place for a quick tea or coffee but also provides good quality variety of very tasty scones. Varied selection of other hot meals at very competitive prices, staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit when you are shopping in the Galleries.

The food here is always astounding. I come here, on average, once every two weeks and I couldn't really ask for more. Filling portions, excellent food quality, super-friendly staff and decent pricing. Absolutely love this place, shame I can only give them 5 stars.

This is definitely the best place to eat-in at the Galleries. The food is all made in-house, instead of the generic bought in stuff most franchised places offer. The prices are reasonable as are the portion sizes. Staff are helpful and friendly despite the place always having a queue (at least between 11am & 2pm).
Would definitely recommend a visit (fruit scones awesome)...

Best scones ever, love the cheese and broccoli and proper Ringtons filter coffee. Would recommend, Staff friendly and a wide range of home cooking. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the galleries.

I have been a customer of gillies now for over thirty years. It has a very friendly environment, I would say more like family. The staff some who have been there for many years are a workforce to be proud of. When the new owners took over, we thought it might change but we should not have worried as Paula , and Guy , are the ideal hosts. Often going out of their way to make their customers feel welcome. I recommend you drop in for a coffee and experience the friendly atmosphere for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
