I great fish shop that serves amazing traditional fish and chips. The chips are amazing.
I have family that travel miles in order to come to Gormans because of how good they are.
Very well priced for the top quality food they serve and the staff are always really friendly when you go in.

Best fish & chips in Washington. Reasonably priced, good menu with lots of specials on. I usually get traditional Cod fish & chips (which is lovely) and they'll tell you the boat the fish came in on what potatoes they're using for chips. You can get regular instead of large too which is great for kids, older people or those without huge appetites (portions are very generous). Staff are always lovely. Located next to Nisa too in case you need anything on the way home.
I've ordered from gormans for years always been very happy with the food. Food was delicious tonight what there was of it. The portion of chips wouldn't of fed a child. Price increased to £2.60 for chips how do you justify a price increase and half the portions.
Ordered again tonight (good friday) delicious as usual and plenty of chips hurrah.
ordered 2 fish and chips with curry sauce and bag of chips,, best fish and chips I've had for a while, will definitely be back, big portions aswell, hats off to the lovely staff 👌
We had ta fish supper take away from P&A Gormans and really enjoyed. The fish was very good. The chips were very plentiful...one portion would do between two I think! The batter on the fish was crispy. Probably the best chip shop in Washington !!
Just used the just eat app and had food from here.....fish and chips were really nice with big portions. curry sauce was one of the nicest I've had in a while. Fast service and we will definitely order again.

Pleasantly surprised as most Fish and Chip takeaways in the local area are horrible.
They serve Haddock for a start, and actually have it in! Quite nice batter, clean looking fish, nice chips. I'd say not quite to the level of Minchella's buit pretty good.
We ordered our first fast food of the lockdown. It was easy, it arrived on time, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't realise they could deliver but they can and it did what it said .....happy happy happy
