Great food and very large portions. The staff were very obliging. We had a fab nite. Definitely one of the best curry houses we've been to.
This is my favourite Indian resturant, never do they dissapointe the chicken tikka starter is excellent, we first started going here in 1980. Good food, service and good value
Head and Shoulders the best Indian in Warerloo/Crosby area bar none , been going regularly for 28 yrs so speaks for itself.
The best curry in crosby - amazing prices and proportions alongside delicious food. Atmosphere is very homely dark with red lighting and decor is very cool
Visted for my birthday. Love the meals had a lovely mushroom bhuna. Great choice of different curries and English food. Everything was perfect. Served very quick we went at 6 30 can get busy of a weekend but we'll worth the wait. Can wait to go back
Greeted by Chloe ,very nice lady ,then Naz came over ,really nice friendly staff ..Had a lovely meal tonight, prawn cocktail/mixed kebab & poppadoms chutney starters ,chicken tikka jalfrezzi with pilau rice, lamb curry pilau rice mains ...mmmmm ,never left any ,did take some of my main jalfrezzi home as the meal was so big ..love going the gate of india as its local,welcoming staff,lovely atmosphere, great food & very good value for money..definitely recommend it 👌
Excellent service and excellent food, the menu has something for everyone and the price of an authentic meal will not break the bank.

I would recommend the garlic chicken its full of flavour and not too spicy.
1st time at the gate of India. Ordered poppidoms and chutneys for starters was very tasty. I ordered tandoori mixed grill which came with a side of curry of your choice, delicious. Ordered mushroom rice was also very tasty. Partner ordered lamb Tikka which tasted lovely but sadly let down as it had to be sent back as was only warm. Came back quickly as if been in microwave. One more fault was the time we waited for the food. Starters came out reasonably fast but we then waited around 40 mins for main meal. Seemed to be high demand with take away dishes. I do believe if you are in the restaurant you should take priority to take away. Saying all this we would return as we did enjoy the food and would recommend.
