Derwish Restaurant

Was in Watford for the day and was curious about this beautiful gem of a restaurant. Fantastic food - the Lahmucan delicious, the bread was beautifully toasted with olive oil with the mains also spot on. Great service by down to earth work colleagues. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Watford, you won’t be disappointed.

Came for lunch with the family, lovely clean restaurant with a variety of options on the menu. We ordered the shared platter and the portion was huge! Meat was tender, great flavours with each bite. Service was wonderful and the waitress was very attentive to the children. The whole family enjoyed the meal and the experience, will definitely come again!

Lovely Turkish restaurant. Nice choice of different meze cold and hot as well as kebabs and larger plates. Not over crowded but a good atmosphere and friendly staff made our evening enjoyable. If you are driving, you'll need to find parking as it is not easy very close to the restaurant... We ate and drank a lot which bumped the cost up but it's good value for a simple meal.

We went there today 29/04/2023 Waiter called ONUR served us and he is well experienced who know service at very high standard, I asked him to stop couple kids from different tables were running and scrumming my earhole. He politely asked their parents to take care of them so we could enjoy our food. I must tell food was lovely really enjoyed and will definitely visit again. THANKS ONUR

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Derwish Meze and BBQ Restaurant in Watford on a Sunday night, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and polite staff. The restaurant was also very clean, which made us feel comfortable and at ease. While it wasn't very busy on the Sunday night we visited, we did struggle a bit to find parking close by. However, once we were seated and looking through the menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. The highlight of our meal was definitely the mixed grill, which consisted of lamb shish, chicken shish, and lamb cofta. All of the meats were expertly cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The accompanying fresh salad and homemade bread were also a delicious addition to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Derwish Meze and BBQ Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Watford. The friendly service, clean atmosphere, and mouth-watering food make it the perfect spot for any occasion.
