Very welcoming from all the staff and a comfortable surroundings got our evening off to an excellent start.
The food itself was possibly the best charcoal grilled meats we have eaten anywhere, including several Mediterranean countries. Great quality and plenty of quantity. Beer and wines were sensibly priced with a good selection. The bottled EFES draft beer was very good as was the Gavi di Gavi wine.
The Derwish is highly recommended and knocks spots off a similar overrated restaurant in market Street.
What a great place to go with friends & family!! The food is delicious, the servings are so generous.
The staff are so nice & accommodating, we have a birthday girl amongst us & they brought out a cake for her as a surprise!

Came for lunch with the family, lovely clean restaurant with a variety of options on the menu. We ordered the shared platter and the portion was huge! Meat was tender, great flavours with each bite. Service was wonderful and the waitress was very attentive to the children. The whole family enjoyed the meal and the experience, will definitely come again!
A great Turkish restaurant in Watford. Friendly and attentive staff. Amazing, generous and tasty food. Would highly recommend and will visit more often.

We went there today 29/04/2023
Waiter called ONUR served us and he is well experienced who know service at very high standard, I asked him to stop couple kids from different tables were running and scrumming my earhole.
He politely asked their parents to take care of them so we could enjoy our food.
I must tell food was lovely really enjoyed and will definitely visit again.

Went for a late dinner. We got 2 main courses share between us. Was plenty of food. Service is excellent really pleasant staff very attentive. Mixed grill fresh grilled meat selection of lamb and chicken. Not greasy served with flavored rice and salad. All tables get a bread basket and sauces for dipping. Would definitely recommend and return. Only thing I say that can be a little over powering is the music is too load and lights are too bright to have a relaxing atmosphere meal. This could be improved on.

Always a really nice meal. We're a family of 4 adults and go for the big set menu which includes some starters, we tend to add a couple of extra as got a couple of big eaters.
Went Sunday night and was quite empty but the service was very good and friendly.
Was in Watford for the day and was curious about this beautiful gem of a restaurant. Fantastic food - the Lahmucan delicious, the bread was beautifully toasted with olive oil with the mains also spot on. Great service by down to earth work colleagues. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Watford, you won’t be disappointed.

Well I went with friends a few weeks back for Dinner @derwishwatford for a friend's birthday. Have to say the service was great and the food delicious 😋 So delicious in fact, that I started to eat and then remembered to photograph, hence one of the lamb chops missing the meat 😅😋 The sweet potato fries with it were also cooked to perfection. Its very reasonable and definitely worth a try if you're watford way. I tried my friends fish and a bit of the mixed kebab and all seasoned and cooked well. Had forgotten to photograph the starter but was also great!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Derwish Meze and BBQ Restaurant in Watford on a Sunday night, and I must say, it was a delightful experience!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and polite staff. The restaurant was also very clean, which made us feel comfortable and at ease.
While it wasn't very busy on the Sunday night we visited, we did struggle a bit to find parking close by. However, once we were seated and looking through the menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices.
The highlight of our meal was definitely the mixed grill, which consisted of lamb shish, chicken shish, and lamb cofta. All of the meats were expertly cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The accompanying fresh salad and homemade bread were also a delicious addition to the meal.
Overall, I highly recommend Derwish Meze and BBQ Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Watford. The friendly service, clean atmosphere, and mouth-watering food make it the perfect spot for any occasion.
Absolutely fantastic place. The service is brilliant and very family friendly. We were catered for at the last minute when no one else had space on bank holiday Monday. The place is well lit and very clean. The food choice vast and each plate was so so full. We had an excellent meal and all the family were very happy. We will go again.
