Happy Palace

I was walking from Apsley to Camden Lock and stayed at Premier inn and this place is around the corner. I always get Sweet and Sour Port when I visit a new Chinese restaurant. It was an excellent choice with steamed whit rice. There was a great choice on the menu and my son got something I think with Tofu which was also excellent. I got the idea the cook was from Hong Kong or similar which always makes a difference. We took our takeaway back to Premier Inn and ate it with a drink from their Pub at the table just outside of the pub . If I lived in Watford , this would be one of my go to take away places.

This place for us is great value and nice tasting food, delivery is reliably too…. Crispy lamb I love, cheap alternative for the duck, it can be fatty but I love that, our 1/4 duck was huge and the standard noodles and beef in black bean were nice taste. Will use again a heart beat. Price isn’t too bad either but like everyone there going up.

Exacty as it should be for a local takeaway. Good honest food in good quantities at good prices. I was only in Watford a few days and sorry I didn't get to go back a second time. Fast service too. I had vegetable curry and egg fried rice and sure it's not the best cooking in the world but equally it's as good as it needs to be. Nothing wrong with it.
