This absolute gem in the beautiful village of Wedmore is definitely worth a visit. The welcome from the most gorgeous dog called Rembert (I think) as you drive through the arched entrance into a peaceful, tranquil setting sets off the experience and the choir of locals singing the praises of the owner Major Stevens in the lower bar whilst quaffing pints of ale straight from the barrel served by Adrian (who is the pièce de résistance of the lower drinking den) is what sets this place apart from so many others. I cannot comment on the food as i'm right in thinking there has recently been a new skipper in the Kitchen but I will endeavour to return one day on my trusty steed(well my german car).

Lovely country pub that serves great food and has a great atmosphere. Great place to have a drink after work aswell! Would definitely recommend!

The George Is a grate pub that supplies lovely serves grate food and drink to many local people and clubs, i would highly recommend going to the The George for a evening meal or lunch time snack, also they have beautiful hotel rooms, it a shame to see so may bad reviews and hope people can see that it not because it's a bad pub to go to! ☺
