The food, great. The service even better. We always drive past this place but decided to bite the bullet and stop in for a spot of lunch and can quite confidently say it was the best decision to do so. The pub had that warm friendly feeling as soon as you walked through the door greeted with a smile and treated as if you was family.
I will definitely be returning at my earliest convenience.
The staff where fantastic and very friendly, would really recommend to anyone in the area. The food was delicious and for the price you cannot beat it. 10/10
Great experience at this pub. Came for lunch on a Monday. Bartender was friendly and polite. Food was served very promptly. Was very enjoyable. Ample parking. Dog friendly. Only annoyance is a really loud bell going off each time someone’s food is ready to be picked up by a waiter.
Travelled down south to see some family and friends, popped in for Dinner (which was very nice indeed, tasty and reasonably priced).
What was Popping in, turned out being a longer stay than expected.
Brilliant staff, great service and atmosphere.....we didn't want to leave!

Attended here for a wake of a family friend. Was a really nice afternoon, buffet supplied was very good and lots on offer. Team were super friendly and couldn't do enough for us, real nice personal touch. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Stopped here to meet with friends for a catch up after a few months not seeing eachother. The landlady was the loveliest accommodating person and the food was spot on. Was only supposed to be staying for food but ended up staying untill closing. Safe to say I will be visiting this pub many more times
Update to the below…. After getting in touch with me within hours of my comment, the fine was cancelled and all is now sorted. Thanks to Beckz and her team for the quick resolution.
Pleasant afternoon spent in the garden. Food was fine and service friendly. However, I’ve just received a £100 parking fine for using the car park without registering! I’m sure there is some signage but I visited with two others and no one noticed any signs and was not reminded by the staff. I know it’s a third party managing the parking but this is not a car park that’s used by anyone but the patrons and it leaves a sour taste. I’ll be choosing another pub in the future
Nice atmosphere. Food was good, well served and on time. Decent place to watch football. Friendly staff and the landlady was very pleasant. Will visit again when in the area
Lovely pub with a pleasant beer garden which was very welcome for us to sit in as it was extremely warm inside. Not easy to get served as there only ever seemed to be one person serving behind the bar and she was sometimes missing leaving the bar unattended. Unfortunately the Speckled Hen was a not a good tasting pint compared to what it should be.
