Checkers Pizza

Let me start by saying taste is subjective. I also must say I spent 15 years in the pizza biz 20 years ago doing everything from delivery to regional manager. Beyond that I probably consume more pizza than average. So, I was underwhelmed as was my wife. The best thing I can say was the price was good and the service was fine. There just wasn't anything about it that stood out. The crust was stiff and chewy, the sauce was just OK and the toppings were neither outstanding or plentiful. I can think of 2 gas stations around the Greater Cleveland area I'd prefer.

The employee's smoke inside the resturaunt, I've seen them and smelled them multiple times. Not happy about that and they have decent food but they don't wear gloves and I've seen young men working there litterly pick their nose while preparing food, yuck. What the heck, the smoking thing is a violation and is not cool.

I couldn't find a reason to appreciate this pizza. It was loaded with greasy cheese, and the veggie toppings seemed to be blended rather than cut by hand. I put some hope into the crust a few times throughout the night, but it finished hours later just as it started: bone-dry and plain. The fat boy in me from high school really wanted to like it, but it's just no good.
