The best coffee shop in Wells and surrounding area by far.
The coffee is great and expertly made and delivered. It’s as good as any coffee I ever had in Italy.
They also have a really neat selection of cakes and food.
A cool and funky atmosphere and an ambience that makes you comfortable and relaxed.

Having moved to Wells last year I’ve tried all the coffee shops locally and this is by far the best coffee. Some lovely cakes and cookies too. Staff always friendly and chatty.

Lovely little cafe - coffee (Cortado) is great, sausage roll delicious and outdoor covered seating area is very useful for rainy days! No hot food but plenty of cakes!

This place should definitely be a full 5 out of 5. We come from a very spoiled background when it comes to coffee so traveling to the UK can be challenging for us to find good coffee. We know how to do our research and sometimes it works out. But, frankly, we are often disappointed. Not so with Strangers with Coffee. We bought one coffee until we could try it and see whether it was worth us each getting our own. As I watched her make it, I knew immediately she knew what she was doing and it was going to be GOOD! And we were not only not disappointed, we were SOOOO thankful and grateful for such an excellent cup of coffee! We came back… a few times. 😏 And then we considered if we could somehow travel with a whole bunch of it for the rest of our trip. We decided that might be challenging… but we also haven’t had another decent cup since. 😩 So get yourself a cup asap!

Refreshing to find someone that cares so much about coffee! The staff are so friendly and passionate and really know their stuff, and an ever changing guest roasts on the filter menu to keep things mixed up. The bakes are fantastic too!

A little of the beaten track near St Cuthberts Church in Wells but well worth a visit. Very clean throughout and spotless toilets. Excellent coffee, (had a second cup) and a nice selection of cakes. Lovely staff as well, service with a smile.

Such a great find! So glad we ended up here. Small and charming, lovely friendly staff great selection of home made cakes and pastries, and so many delicious choices on the menu.
We had a gorgeous brunch all the food was fresh and tasty. Most cafes in wells are chains it’s a great little local business.
And they know their stuff when it comes to coffee.

The passion is evident in each and every cup here. The owners walk around to check up on you and your drink during your stay. I had a latte with the guest espresso and it was exquisite. The flavor was unlike anything else I had in Wells and the quality was top notch. Sadly, I only found this place a day before leaving Wells, but will definitely be returning in the future.
