Found Golden Bamboo while staying in the area, which we do regularly. A very good takeaway with easy order process and very quick turnaround. Food has been very good. Menu is good and focuses generally on Chinese and Cantonese standards, though, cooked really well. Have been back twice since the first visit

Excellent food. If you like Chinese food, you really should try 1st Eat- especially the Duck. Great quality duck and cooked the traditional way. They are very proud of their food and rightly so. They cut no corners and this shows in the quality of the food. It's worth paying a lttle bit extra and travelling a little bit further …

Sometimes I have a short sudden notice lunch/dinner break and they always try to get it ready straight away instead of my break running out before I have had chance to eat it.

Really good food. We had been using another takeaway in the town but due to that one being closed for whatever reason we tried the Golden Bamboo we found the food to be better, unlike the other place this one didn't make me feel stuffed the food was very tasty hot even after we had an hours drive to our destination we used to need to warm it up but not this time. Staff were friendly and polite, will definitely be going back for more. 👍
First time we stopped at the Golden Bamboo and didn't have time to devour the menu. The young lady behind the counter was polite, helpful and took my order with the minimal of fuss or referring me to the menu as I wasn't too sure what we actually wanted. She estimated 10 to 15 minutes. When I returned just over 10 min later,I was greated by name and my order was ready. We continued our journey, around 15 min and the food was still hot and tasted wonderful. Phone number stored in my phone as we will definitely stop off here again to pick up a meal.
Delicious Chinese food! As I wanted a bit of everything I ended up ordering too much food however the leftover was still nice after reheating the following day. They are always busy so better to order in advance - worth the wait though. The lady behind the counter is super friendly. Would definitely recommend...
