Nice Griggling Squid branch at Welwyn with the brand's unique flowery style decorations. It has lots of table configurations for different party sizes, with some tables by the large windows giving a relaxing view of the greeneries of the Welwyn Parkway. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was as expected of the brand and was nicely presented, although we found that the chef was rather heavy-handed with salt or sauce. The pad thai, for example, had none of its delicacy left from heavy seasonings.
I went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Every single meal we had looked and tasted sooo good. I just need to go back as soon as possible to try more dishes. Thanks guys!
Came for a little celebration with my partner as I had visited the giggling squid alone a couple months back during a spontaneous lunch visit (have posted a review for that visit).
The Bangkok sharing platter is so good, sadly we were advised by pilar that there was no spicy sausage left, but she was able to swap them out for some dumplings (which were divine) .
The food is amazing , the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and I couldn't recommend this place enough.
I could easily spend over £100 for 2 people and walk out of the restaurant with a smile on my face. The food is full of flavour, piping hot and you are made to feel welcome by an amazingly attentive group of people.

The staff were so attentive. We went for my mum's 79th birthday meal. She loves the food, service and we bought a cake with us and the staff made it so special.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Welwyn, and it has earned it due to its good food quality, along with very lovely staff and proximity from train station.
It has good variety of food in the menu, and surely you can also request for recommendation. We had variety of food including prawn, noodles and thai specialities and surely they didn't disappoint us. Massaman with coconut rice was yummm.
With a starter, drinks and main course it costed us average of 32 pounds (we went as a group of 4) each. Some pics attached for reference
We have visited giggling squid a lot of times but the one in Welwyn Garden City for the first time. It has a great atmosphere and it's quite big. The food in general was good as always but not as good as the one at Wimbledon. Pad Thai was smaller portion and quite different in flavour.

Visited Giggling Squid for the first time last night - the food was so good and all the staff were lovely. We shared Chicken Wings, Pork Dumplings & Salt and Pepper Squid starters then I had the Thai Melting Beef main with egg fried rice, the beef did literally melt in my mouth and the flavour was amazing. Also they have this really cool way of dealing with food allergies - you scan a QR code and tell it what you're allergic to then it tells you which dishes are safe for you to order from the menu 👍
Food was great and did not take a long time to arrive.
Cocktails were also good.
Bill is a bit on the high side with 10% gratuity added on.

Amazing restaurant. The food was really lovely, and everyone really enjoyed their meals, so tasty and well presented and hot, the service from all the staff was brilliant so friendly and welcoming, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. The decor and cleanliness was second to none, felt really comfortable. Highly recommend.
