Only stopped for a drink, lovely setting behind the pretty beach huts. This is a large pub and restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside sofas! Situated next to the children’s play area and large green! Service was quick and friendly.
Absolutely the best pub food around Essex. Amazing food. Good price and lovely views. Staff are wonderful and chef actually takes an interest! Will come back many more times!
Nice modern pub in the West Mersea holiday park. Food was ok. We had scampi and chips - the chips weren't the best but the scampi was good. Order at the bar, service was ok, it was very quiet despite being in the middle of the summer holidays.

31/08/23 - Went to the restaurant and was served by a lovely young lady today who was very welcoming, polite and friendly. Managed to get in early today so we could try breakfast. Impressed with the breakfast as not really greasy which is how I like it. Around £45 to feed 4 so pretty average prices. Toilets have been restocked with toilet role but still no soap.
30/08/23 - Thought I would try breakfast today, it's not always breakfast. Sat for 10 mins looking at the menu to then be told breakfast finishes at 11am. I asked for lunch menu to be told it's not till 12 so no food for the next hour.
Thought I would mention the men's has run out of soap, especially as it's a restaurant. 2 and a half hours later still no soap when I went back to the restaurant loos.
29/08/23 - Only had a few drinks no food.
Staff very polite and helpful, nice weather so lots of seating in and out.
The restaurant looks lovely and clean and will try food on another visit.
Toilets are very clean and clean toilets are always a must for me.
We quite often pop in here especially when the grandkids come to stay. The food is good. Staff friendly and there's a park so we can have a drink relax and kids can play. There's also a small arcade it's ok. Could be better . But can't have it all.. beach is close .. defiantly worth a go
We arrived, a very large group, that morning and after asking the lady behind the bar if we could book a table for that evening we were introduced to the chef who handed us menus to prebook our choices and said it would not be a problem if we were flexible on time by half an hour, which was fine 😀We had a whole corner of the restaurant, the food came out fast for everyone and the service was amazing! The whole experience really topped off my parents' anniversary celebrations and we cannot thank the team at Sandbanks enough.
Walk my dogs here regularly along the beach and its always lovely. Good selection of drinks, plenty of outdoor seating and great location.

Visited on a day out to Mersea, had a couple pints of guinness, refreshments sat outside & enjoyed 😉
