Tom was very welcoming and informative as he showed us to our room. The room and en suite were just beautiful with the most amazing huge bed.
We ate in the restaurant that night and the food was just superb and we are quite fussy
Absolutely fabulous meal in such a comfortable quaint country pub, all the staff are amazing and so efficient and friendly. I cannot recommend the Lion more highly.

Had a superb Sunday roast meal here. Generous helping of meat and eight or nine different vegetables plus of course a yorkshire pudding. Everything tasted great and all six of us were well and truly sated by the end. Service was quick and friendly and overall ambience was warm and comfortable. Highl

Very good gastro pub. Not cheap but not extortionate. Food was good, good selection of ales and friendly staff. Parking can be an issue
I would stay here again, top notch service and food, location is a bit out of the town but didn't affect us. I liked the fact that the food was locally sourced and recycling and eco friendly is a great theme.
