My daughter took her husband and my wife and I yesterday for a belated Fathers Day treat,and what a treat it turned out to be. It was the Chateaubriand deal off Travelzoo,so we were thinking a downsized version. That was a big mistake,us two fathers decided to order a seafood sharing platter.It was a lovely assortment and all four of us shared it. The battered Calamari was the best I’d eaten. Then when the main event was brought in we were amazed to see two fine pieces of fillet steak.we all had four thick slices of beautifully cooked beef. It turned out to be quite a struggle to do it justice. All the staff that attended us were very friendly and provided excellent service. My only gripe is with the drinks.All these type of establishments hardly ever cater for beer drinkers. I enjoy a basic bitter beer, not fancy craft ales or continental lagers at £4.50 & £5.50 Pint. However,I would not hesitate in returning and highly recommend it.
After a recommendation from family who visit regularly, we came along for a little Christmas treat.
Our stay this weekend was perfect. Really comfortable room with lots of lovely additional touches.
All the staff were wonderful and very attentive.
As for the food, possibly the best we have ever eaten! Huge compliments to the chef’s as it was simply beautiful to look at and tasted amazing!
We will definitely be back!
