The Stags Head

Popped in for lunch today on the off chance. We hadn't booked and there was no vegetarian dish left. Didn't matter as I just had the beautifully cooked veg - cauliflower cheese, leeks, carrots, mashed swede, parsnips, brocoli, roasties and Yorkshire pud. Truly fabulous and outstanding friendly service

Absolutely lovely oldie worldie pub come restaurant very polite and welcoming staff and the food is top notch, gets very busy round lunch hours especially if going for the carvery so best to book in advance. Went there with my gym mates to watch the football on the Sunday and it was a electric atmosphere

Had breakfast last weekend and all week wanted another as it was so nice so went back today and it did not disappoint, even allowed me to take a cheeky extra breakfast home with me 🥰 Stuart & Anita are wonderful, lovely and welcoming even when rushed, and all the staff i have so far met have been so friendly and helpful. Coming from Chichester in which you now know no one due to all the old places closed and the local community feeling banished years ago for a larger rushed, megacity London feel, makes you want to just up and move here as everyone makes you feel so welcome and just a lovely place to be socially or for something to eat. Highly recommend.

First time going to this pub, we went for a Sunday carvery. The food was nice and it was good quality veg and local meats. The landlord and lady couldn't have been any nicer and made a lovely fuss over my 1 year old and were very happy to give him a little extra attention - which always goes down well! Deserts cover a good range of options and round off the meal very nicely. The pub dog was super well-behaved and friendly. Lovely, welcoming atmosphere.
