Lovely old hotel,excellent food,would like to have stayed in main hotel but were put in an outside bungalow. Bungalow was welcoming and compact,everything you needed,warm and lovely decor. Only downside was the mattress, very uncomfortable with a roll together in the middle. Other than that,fabulous

There are some rooms in a separate 'lodge' (just at the rear/side of the hotel, 10m away) which are nice & quiet.

Have visited twice with my girlfriend for dinner and have been very satisfied with the food on both occasions. Friendly and helpful staff. And the warm bread after ordering is a nice touch.
We had lunch at the Chalford House Hotel for a birthday treat. Great atmosphere , friendly and professional hosts. Scampi and Chips was delicious.
