Stoked Vegan

We absolutely love Stoked. The food is always amazing and the portion sizes are great. Billy and his team work hard to create a really interesting menu that delivers on flavours every single time. We love it so much that we had Billy cater for our wedding recently. A fully vegan BBQ with brisket, po boys, mac n cheese, brownies...it was amazing! A must try!

I'm not a vegan but honestly, this place could convert me. Without doubt one of the best places we have eaten at. Billy was phenomenal with his service (working alone tonight) and his food. Excellent knowledge of vegan food and able to extract some of the most amazing flavours from the food (the celeriac tacos and BBQ beans were amazing!) And his knowledge of drinks was 10/10 as well. Welcoming, homely and comforting is the best way to describe Stoked. Vegan or not you need to go and try this!

This restaurant is a game changer. Coming from a non-vegan, the food that is freshly made, and presented each and every time looks and tastes AMAZING. Burgers/wraps/mac n cheese/loaded fries (and so much more) all amazing. Along side this some pretty damn great craft beers and cocktails. A regular changing menu highlighting the skill of variation and creativity! But its not just the Vegan BBQ food that is great, the 'Fine Dining' experience was something else....truly fantastic food, again all freshly made, presented beautifully and tasting lovely. A true gem, and a must try if you enjoy eating!!!

Stoked is a rare gem in vegan restaurants in that the food is amazing and its extremely well run. We had a group of 5 diners, only 1 vegan, and everyone raved about the whole experience. Food wise, we all tried a variety of dishes but I'm biased and am going to recommend what I had - mushroom wings and the sloppy joe - so so good! Everyone commented on how good the quality of the food was in that surprised way people do about vegan food ha ha! Service wise, our every whim was met by Bilyl, the owner, who was one man running it that night - not that you'd know it, the whole thing was so smooth. An insane knowledge of his super well stocked bar, and letting us taste test the beers on tap, all added up to an experience that made us feel welcome and valued as customers. Thank you, Billy for looking after us all evening! We'll be back as soon as we've finished recommending you to everyone!

Best vegan food in Essex, hands down! Eaten in here loads of times since it opened and had numerous take aways. Food is all freshly made in-house…you won’t find any cash and carry meat subs here! The only thing I’d complain about is having too much choice as I never know what to get. I think they should do a plate with a little bit of everything…Billy sort it out please! Dog friendly too

O.M.G. Just amazing. The waitress was really lovely, music and aesthetic very cool, and the food...unbelievable. Have been meaning to come here for quite a while, so when I found out that they do 50% off on Sundays, it was a win-win. We ate like Kings, and for less than 10 pounds per head! [EDIT: Not 50% off anymore, so bare that in mind! Is very pricey normally, so unfortunately I wouldn't be able to come again unless other deals were available. If you have the money though, definitely recommend!!] Loved the brisket the most, the mac and cheese isn't very "cheesy" in taste, but has great flavour none the less such that I didn't really care! My only critique for the restaurant would be the fried oyster mushroom starter; I love the idea, but the concept would be so much better if you fried the oyster clusters, rather than the individual mushrooms. This would give a better texture, and a mean fried chicken replacement ;) Still really lovely, thoroughly enjoyed, and will come back again... probably next time on a Friday, when the cocktails are a fiver :o 👍

Managed to get my half veggie, half meat-eating family here for my vegan brother’s birthday. We were really impressed with the delicious starters which we had a couple each of and shared around, but not as much with the mains. I like how the menu changes and would therefore definitely come back to try this place again and anything different it has to offer. To be honest I would come back just for the banana pudding (delicious), and the vibes of this little place are great.

We’d previously visited Stoked a few months ago, and didn’t have the best experience. But Billy the owner was very receptive our feedback and so we decided to give Stoked another go. And I’m so glad we did. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the Tailgate Stack burger, to the Original BBQ Plate, to the incredible banana pudding. The service was warm and friendly, and I noticed that every visitor at every table was made to feel welcome. It was a really positive atmosphere and I’m genuinely looking forward to my next visit. I’ve been to vegan restaurants all over the world, including a lot of BBQ joints in the US, and it’s honestly nuts how one of the best is lurking down here in suburban Westcliff. Do yourself a favour and pay Stoked a visit.
