Had heard of the Recency but you never know what you will find until you try.
Cannot fault in any way, the moment you walk in there is a warm inviting and friendly atmosphere, plus the warming smell of spices, from then on it gets better and better, even though we had a party of 14 service was excellent with drinks and food arriving quickly and everything as you could only hope for.
Great menu brilliant food, for me the best all round experience for sometime!

The best curry in South East Kent!!! The food flavours are unlike any others. We do eat out a lot and have been to a lot of curry houses, but our local place beats others by a mile! Fresh, flavoursome, amazing service. The guys, even on busy day and (probably) one man down don't stop and cannot do enough for you. Amazing amazing amazing! Well done guys!

It was a mate's 50th Birthday on Saturday so we decided to go and have a Indian, so we chose Regency Tandoori in Westgate. All I can say is wow!! The best Indian restaurant I've ever been too. The food was fantastic, a friendly service, great atmosphere. This place was packed out which in my experience is only a good sign. They have a sit in restaurant which I say would hold about 50 guests. They also do a take away service. The prices are reasonable.The only very small downside it needs a little TLC, the chairs have seen better days. But that's it!! I would highly recommend this Tandoori restaurant I will most definitely going back and recommending to friends. Thank you too all the staff who served us on Saturday night you were fantastic. This place is a real gem!! The food is fresh, tasty, and I've gotta say, this place is definitely amongst the best I've tried so far for Indian cuisine. The staff were very friendly and happy to help, and we cant wait to dine there again when we next go to Margate.
