My wife and I go into the coffee house at least once a week for toast and coffee. I am a big coffee drinker and as I travel all over the uk and the world, I can honestly say that the best place for a great cup of coffee made the way I like it every time no matter who makes it , is the coffee house. And the doorstep toast with jam and marmite is excellent as well.
Fantastic coffee, fantastic staff and the owner Nikki is always a star - highly recommend.
An owner of a small business myself... I can truly appreciate great service and a job well done when I see it. As a mum, going out with my little ones has its challenges and I was made to feel super welcome when eating and drinking here with my family on a visit at the weekend.
I had a double buggy with my toddler and bay and was planning to eat outside so as not to be awkward. When the server heard of my plans she went over and above to invite us in and move tables and chairs. I felt so welcome and comfortable, which can be pretty rare as the buggy is rather large and my toddler can be... Excitable!!
Great food and lovely cup of tea. Toastie hit the spot and the lemon cake was gorgeous. Shame I had to share it with my husband! Wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you for a lovely experience.
Lovely hot chocolates, great choice of hot beverages and cakes looked fab too
Came here for the first time today and definitely will be returning. Well priced and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Much better than Costa or Starbucks. Coffee and the bacon and brie toastie were delicious.
I love the Coffee House! Regularly get a large Irresistible Irish latte, and the Brie and Bacon Panini is to die for. I get full easily, so I always have to share with my husband as the panini is huge! Wishing it were less crowded to comfortably read or study, but the amount of people that come to Coffee House is just a testament to how awesome it is. The staff are wonderful as well.
Iv had cappuccinos virtually the length and breadth of this fair country of ours and can without a doubt whole heartedly say this was by far the best . So nice in fact i bought 3 kilos of beans a cup and saucer and another latte for my wife and cappuccino . In all a simple sit down to rest with my disabled wife ended up cost £64 but was worth it
The best coffee in town with friendly, professional, service. It's good to see an independent coffee house showing the ubiquitous chains how it should be done. Make sure to try the 'Dirty American', if you like a robust, yet smooth blend. It's my favourite!
Professional, friendly staff, and remarkably delicious gluten-free lemon cake.!
Great and friendly staff.
Fantastic choice of indie/ rock music too- please don't change it.
Met here for a study group and moved several bits of furniture to make ourselves comfortable, which the staff were fine with. Coffee was lovely and cheaper than better known brands. The place was clean and tidy with different types of seating and had a cozy, friendly vibe. They also have a loyalty card for regular visitors, loads of yummy treats and are an independent family business. Will be visiting again.
Always a warm welcome, coffee lovely and a very friendly atmosphere. They also serve delicious door stop toast butter and jam. My very local much visited coffee shop
