Only called in for a beer so didn't order food so haven't rated the food, I found the atmosphere was good and the local people were warm and welcoming
Went on a quiet night, and it was pretty good! Didn't eat there, but maybe next time (I'd already eaten!!)

Traditional pub with a nice welcoming atmosphere.
Outstanding levels of customer service, smiling happy staff, first class management made us feel more comfortable and even chucked half a ton of logs on the fire to warm us up on a cold day.
Food is great value and served well in an unpretentious manner.
Well worth a detour off the M5 for real food real service and a good pint.

I love the fact you can be yourself at all times, very welcoming, food is fabulous Jason goes all out. Staff can't do enough for you, always fun to be had. Traditional pub, through & through. Can't recommend it enough.
Really friendly 'old style pub' Food great & good size portions. Landlord Jason & his staff were attentive, with an excellent sense of humour, sharing jokes whilst still providing professional service.
When I had last visited this pub more than two years ago it seemed most uninviting and I would not have considered visiting again if I had not heard from a friend that it had greatly improved since then. When I visited it last week I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the fact that a notice on the wall still invited me to "póg mo thóin", the staff were most welcoming and the place had a good atmosphere. The beer, I am told was good, although I was not drinking it myself, and the menu looked very appetising. I did not have a meal, but the couple sat next to me did and evidently enjoyed it. I shall definitely visit this pub again and next time I will try the food and the beer.
