The Walnut Tree

We were looking for a dog friendly pub whilst we stayed in the area. We passed this while driving to the beach and decided to stop on the way back. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked through the door by staff and the local patrons. The food was excellent , we both had rump steak. I chose the home made cheese cake for pudding, my wife had the apple crumble and custard. We would highly recommend going if you are in the area.

We came across The Walnut Tree when we were looking for a dog friendly pub in March and we have been coming back whenever we are in the area. The food is excellent and the service is second to none. Always made to feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Chole is an excellent chef, the food is always delicious and served hot. Love the beer garden and play area, and the conservatory is lovely to sit in except when it's sunny or winter. It's always clean and tidy. The staff go above and beyond to help and nothing is to much trouble for them. Such a shame they are leaving in October.

Just drove past this place at lunchtime and thought why not. Man I am glad we did, locals even said hello when we walked in. Food was Really good and I mean Really good. Drinks were ok, but could do more alcohol free one for us drivers. Staff were excellent, to be fair only met 1 guy. If I lived local I would drink and eat there most nights…

Well done Walnut Tree! Booked in for our family Christmas party. The table was very festive and laid beautifully, festive menu was lovely cooked and presented perfectly. We had such a good time when the family came for Christmas Dinner that I brought my friend back for lunch. We were not disappointed! My friend is a veggie and for once there was a good choice,not just lasagna or cheese jackets. Both meals were delicious,and the stting welcoming. Will be back,thanks Becca

We stumbled upon the restaurant on our way back from Brean last week. A family of 4 plus one dog with us, 2 of us are gluten free and one a vegetarian, so it's often tricky to find something to satisfy all our needs!! And what a find this was - excellent menu for gluten free, delicious food for vegetarians, and the dog was allowed in 😁 The staff were helpful, friendly and available. And there was lots going on whilst we were there including free bouncy castle and some small local vendors on site. A great visit, thank you.
