High Tide Fish & Chips

Stumbled across this fish and chip restaurant on a day out to the seaside. It was mid afternoon and not very busy so our food came very quick. Fish and chips was cooked well, fish was white and flaky with crisp batter and the chips were crispy but not hard. Not the biggest portion I have ever had but then it was about right for me and good value for the price we paid (£10). I didn’t see the other reviews before I ate here and I’m glad I didn’t. I would have given this place a miss but based on my experience, the negative reviews seem to be undeserved. Was able to sit at a table near the window looking over the beach, sun coming in through the window, making a lovely spot to sit.

I felt this place deserved an extra review as some of the others didn't really do it justice. Sure there are things that could be improved but the view from the restaurant across the bay is fantastic and being out of town a little it's not too busy. The food was fantastic though, the fish was cooked fresh to order and the mushy peas and tartar sauce were clearly homemade and super tasty. The price was also pretty good for four of us to eat at £45 all in.

Absolutely fabulous! Fish was white, fresh and brilliant. The chips were perfect and the service was wonderful! It was still got when we got home to eat it without re-heating it! We also came 10 mins before they closed but are super glad we did and very appreciative of just how freshly cooked it was! ☺️ And who can argue that £6 for all in the pictures isn't value for money!!!! Even without a voucher, this for £12 is a bloody bargain and I will eagerly recommend you guys!! Thank you!!
