Been down to the oak today tasting the new food menu. Very tasty food, beautifully presented. You will not be disappointed, so go and support this lovely local pub.
We have been for food on several occasions and it has been lovely everytime. Excellent value as well. The steaks are the best in the area.
Quiet Sunday lunch with family; food was superb, the menu is restricted, but who doesn't want a roast on a Sunday, hence they focus on quality, and achieve it.
Atmosphere only 4 stars as we were late diners and thus very few in the restaurant, so not their fault, just being honest.
Always a special occasion going to the Royal Oak. Food is made on-site and specials are altered accordingly depending on seasonality of produce. Great atmosphere and always made to feel welcome. Would absolutely recommend!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED***** my meal was a chicken and mushroom carbonara, made with fresh cream and added rocket with parmesan
This was so filling and absolutely delicious. The other meal was a pub grub burger and chips but as you can see this is no ordinary burger and chips (double cooked) and the burger was very thick with all the trimmings bursting out on the board
Me and my partner went for an impromptu evening out. Although we were nearing the end of the food service, we were looked after very well. We both had steaks which were perfectly cooked and reasonably priced considering the size and cut, the chips were also amazing. We were also tempted by desserts where we had the crumble and fondant, both of which were very tasty. We will definitely be back again soon and highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely meal out.
Enjoyed our meal here, visiting for the first time. Service was really good, nice atmosphere and very clean. Could have done with a bit more veg, hence only giving you a 4 on food. I'm sure we'll be back..
Two great meals, washed down by a decent pint or 3 of beer. Lovely beer garden it's a whole field in size, quirky furniture within the pub in a nice way giving the pub a tasteful look. Friendly staff and owners. Highly recommend. I don't do reviews, but this pub deserves a positive review!
Fantastic place. Called for a Sunday dinner and there were 14 of us and all the food came out together piping hot. Staff very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Definitely recommend. 👍

Very tasty food at reasonable prices. Tandouri cod rogan josh was a new one on me but very good. The home made beef and stilton pie was also excellent
