The Katsu chicken curry I had was an explosion of flavors that truly impressed my taste buds I had rice and noodles as there was not much noodles for a portion so was asked if I would also like rice which made it better as I do like half and half. The value for money was exceptional – getting the Katsu chicken curry, a drink, and prawn crackers for just £9.95 was a steal!

Chose her as a healthy alternative to burgers and kfc. The food was piping hot and the service was quick and polite. Prices were a little high for a large meal a side and a drink just under £14 but it is a motorway services after all and healthy eating has a tendency to be more expensive. Overall all a very pleasant meal and experience.

Popped in for the usual chicken katsu curry and it was beautiful. I added some chicken gyoza and my partner had pumpkin katsu with vegetable gyoza, both with rice. So tasty and filling. You can’t go wrong because it’s never busy at Chow, other places at Wetherby have massive queues which is just annoying when you just want to sit down and eat after your journey. The staff are nice and serve you quick. Finding a table at peak times isn’t a problem because there’s seating inside and out, with screens to separate and dedicated table staff to help. The tables are cleaned and just pop your rubbish in the bin when you’re done. The trace app QR code is on the table to snap, if you stay beyond 15 minutes and there are several hand gel terminals around the site. Masks are required to be worn by all unless you’re exempt and arrows on the floor to direct you safely about the building. We always visit here when we’re using the A1, it’s very big and your car is safe.
