The Waverley Inn

We visited The Waverley Inn on a sunny Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the lovely terrace out in front of the pub. We had a pork roast and a whole lobster (the latter being on the specials menu). The food was absolutely delicious and well presented, as were the drinks. Great wines, and craft lagers that are a welcome change from the standard Italian and Spanish brands. Nowadays, more often than not pubs seem to be run by unmotivated teenagers who have no idea about service, but that’s not the case at The Waverley Inn. All the staff are extremely nice, attentive and kind, which is a massive welcome. I can highly recommend this place, whether you are just going for a drink or for a nice meal out.

What a perfect lunch. Service was excellent, the staff knowledgeable and always appeared you needed them but disappeared into the background perfectly when you didn’t. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was great. We will be back soon. Lovely lunch in every way, Refreshingly wonderful!

We had a lovely meal with my son and his girlfriend. The restaurant was nicely laid out and created a lively atmosphere. Not too noisy, whilst being almost full. The menu is a delight for meat lovers. Service was first class including the lovely touch of pre-oredered first cocktails. Main foccachia for the table followed by a chateaubriand, bavette steak and wagyu burger. The CB was not particularly to my liking and was mentioned to the staff as it was too tough. The bavette was delicious as was the burger. Deserts were gorgeous too. Without prompting the team provided a concession on the bill for the CB feedback. Great job all round Waverley.
