Southside Bar & Grill

I don't often use the catering facilities when staying at the caravan as I do love to cook and I am not great with people, noise and comotion But as I am visiting on my tod, I decided to treat myself at Southside Bar. I chose 2 starters, the crispy chilli chicken with Asian salad, lamb kofta, a side of rice, a passionfruit coconut meringue tart and a large glass of Shiraz. All delicious and the staff were charming. Quite impressed and I am a fussy git when it comes to food and service, having worked in Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels and Bars around the world I am a nightmare punter normally. I have to say not bad at all 😊 I was served with the assistance of Newby staff member Alfie (first night on the job) Well done everyone. Just the right amount of waiter/manager interaction. Delicious. Thank you. 😊

Lovely looking bar/restaurant right next to the seaside, with a traditional harbour style aesthetic. Only stopped for drinks (and some onion rings) so can't comment on a whole meal. Drinks were pretty good and not overly pricey, and the barman serving was very friendly. It appears he was the only one making drinks so if there was a queue it could take a while if people are ordering cocktails. The onion rings were really good with a nice batter. I wish I had ordered some just for myself and not the table. Sea view on some of the outside seats too although there are other places blocking most of it. But we got lucky and got these seats. There is also a park/sandpit right next door and within view of a lot of the seats outdoors so kids can play.

Managed to get a table here at very short notice due to another restaurant not opening on sunday, our receptionist phoned through from our holiday Park and got us a table for the 8 of us. We was welcomed by lovely staff and a good atmosphere. We ordered some roast dinners and burgers for the children, all the food was cooked fast ,and was very nice. The vegetables for the roast came on separate plates to the meat and tatties, and they was just right, not too soft but not crunchy either. The meat was cooked to perfection with just enough crackling on my pork, and the beef my partner had melted in her mouth.the burgers went down a treat as well with the children. Fantastic food, although, not a huge menu. Very happy. Thank you. 😊

Lovely here, have to install an app to order. Has AMAZING sandwiches and chips, didnt take long at all, definitely coming again. The staff were friendly. Not very expensive. We had an amazing view of the sea and the beach was a frw metres away. Lovely for a swim before or after. Has lots of kids rides, such as trampolines, big slides, mini roundabout thing and much more. Definitely recommend if you have small kids. Is good place for any age group but there is a kids park next door so u have to understand that. Definitely going to come again. Lovely food. First time we've ever been here. This place is amazing. The staff are brilliant. Great customer service with a smile. The food was exceptional. We had lunch today which was 1st class, so we booked for dinner tonight. They didn't let us down. Everything was cooked fresh and it tasted Devine. We're going again tomorrow night now too. This is my new go to restaurant every time I'm down here now. Can't recommend it enough. MARVELLOUS!
