Excellent service from David and superb cooking from chef when I asked for a rare medium not mr kangaroo steak. It was Excellent. David was an excellent host and knowledgeable re wines too

Great family roast, my duck was cooked to my liking with a good selection of vegetables.
Vegetables were Al dente, and as I’ve said in my other reviews, neither my partner or I like it this way, and wish restaurants would give the option for veg to be cooked to the sitters liking, but it’s not the end of the world.
Gravy was tasty but a bit strong in flavour, which masked some of the other flavours on the plate.
Nice addition of a pig in blanket but the stuffing was a bit too sweet for me, and the Yorkshire pud was slightly burnt.
My partner and her sister had beef, and sadly it wasn’t the greatest cut, as it was quite fatty, and the overall piece was on the tuff side.
Server could have done with being a bit chirpier, but might have been having an off day.
Would recommend the Buxton Bitter if you like a good strong, tasty drink, like me.

Thank you soo much for an amazing time on Saturday for my hen party. Cocktail making was soo much fun and was soo nice to try some different ones. The food was beautiful & the portions were a very good size. I’ll definitely be coming back.

It’s not very often you find a place to go and eat fabulous food, have super service followed by an evening of fun with friends, cocktails and entertainment all in one venue. We had the BEST evening. The food was divine, we were made to feel so welcome by the team there, and had a blast.
Would recommend anyone to go, it’s just a shame we don’t live in Buxton - we would be there every weekend!

Well Buxton you're coming up. Delightful eatery with knowledgeable staff attentive and pleasant. The food was lovely portions are BIG and very reasonable prices. Setting is contemporary but not brash gave a very relaxed feel. The decor is calming and all the little details (ladies room) made the visit one I'll do again. Well done ❤️

A busy bar and restaurant, lively atmosphere, great staff, wide choice menu. There was a quiz on when we were there so we joined in, that was a fun twist to the evening. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was pretty good, catfish batter a little greasy, rib sauce a little claggy. All enjoyable though.

Amazing food, friendly staff, very reasonable prices and a great range of beers. What more can you want? Its clearly the place to eat in Buxton.
All the flavours are very subtle, but in a good way. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into the menu. Me and my friend recommend everything on the menu we had.
