The Poachers Pocket

First time back at the Poachers for a long time. The food was delicious, the portions huge, piping hot and freshly cooked No pineapple for the 10 0z Gammon but two Fried Eggs instead of one....Winner. The place was spotless, service impeccable staff pleasant nothing too much trouble even a water bowl for our four legged companion. We will be back.

Living local, first time I've been up since the place got took over. Had a nice walk up with the dog, dog friendly bar, although we sat outside as the sun was out. Ordered the chicken gyros, which came with chips and salad, ... must say it was absolutely beautiful!!!! Will most definitely be returning!!! Obviously had to have an ice cold pint of Bulmers. Nice staff, lovely food, ... 100% recommended. Keep up the good work , lovely friendly place. Didn't wait long for food either, and the prices were spot on!!!! 👌

Excellent lunchtime meal, all home cooked. The corned beef pie was the biggest slice I have ever been served, and will real chips, peas and gravy. My son had a Yorkshire Pudding wrap, full of chicken with chips and gravy. The dog was not forgotten and had a chicken doggie dinner, which was superb, complete with 2 yorkshire puddings, chicken and veg. Could have eaten it myself!!! Only marked 1 star down because we sat outside and the tables hadn't been checked, bird droppings on one we sat on. But other than that service was excellent and so was the food.
